Privacy Policy

Compound Strategy Lab is designed to work in your browser without an account and without sending the financial strategies you create to us.

Effective date: August 7, 2026
Last updated: August 7, 2026

Before launch: replace the bracketed operator and contact fields below, and identify the actual hosting or security providers if you want to name them. This notice must be updated before adding analytics, advertising, accounts, forms, payments, or cloud strategy storage.

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how [LEGAL OWNER NAME], doing business as Compound Strategy Lab (“Compound Strategy Lab,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), handles information when you use the Compound Strategy Lab website, compound-interest visualizer, Strategy Lab, documentation, and related features (the “Service”).

This policy applies only to Compound Strategy Lab. Third-party websites and services have their own privacy practices.

2. The short version

Compound Strategy Lab currently has no user accounts, contact form, payment system, advertising network, or operator-controlled analytics. The strategies and scenarios you create are processed and stored in your browser. We do not receive them unless you choose to send or share an exported file outside the Service.

3. Information stored on your device

The Strategy Lab uses browser local storage to save the current diagram, named scenarios, interface preferences, and a cache of recently retrieved market-price information. This information is stored on your device under the site's origin and is used to restore your work, remember settings, and avoid unnecessary market-data requests.

Local storage is controlled by your browser. You can remove it through your browser's site-data controls. Clearing it, using private browsing, changing browsers or devices, or resetting the browser may permanently remove saved strategies and preferences. Compound Strategy Lab cannot recover information that exists only on your device.

4. Strategy information

Strategy names, node labels, balances, contribution amounts, rates, assumptions, connections, scenarios, and other values you enter are processed locally in your browser. They are not submitted to Compound Strategy Lab through the current Service.

If you export a strategy, your browser creates a JSON file containing strategy information. You decide where that file is stored and with whom it is shared. Imported files are read locally by your browser. Do not include passwords, account numbers, private keys, seed phrases, Social Security numbers, tax records, or other sensitive information in a strategy or exported file.

5. Information processed when you visit

As with most websites, ordinary technical information may be transmitted automatically when your browser requests a page or resource. Depending on the hosting and security services used, this may include your IP address, browser and device type, operating system, requested URL, referring page, date and time, approximate region derived from an IP address, response status, and security or diagnostic events.

This technical information may be processed by our hosting, content-delivery, domain, or security providers to deliver the Service, maintain reliability, prevent abuse, investigate errors, and protect the site. Compound Strategy Lab does not use the current Service to build advertising profiles or track your activity across unrelated websites.

6. Live market-data requests

The Strategy Lab may request recent ETH and BTC price data directly from CoinGecko's public API when its local cache is stale. Because this request is made by your browser, CoinGecko may receive technical information such as your IP address, user agent, request time, and the requested API URL. CoinGecko handles that information under its own Privacy Policy.

The returned market data and request timestamps may be cached in your browser's local storage. If the request is unavailable or rate-limited, the Service uses its bundled dataset.

7. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

Compound Strategy Lab does not currently set advertising cookies, use operator-controlled behavioral analytics, serve personalized advertising, or use tracking pixels. Browser local storage is used for the functional purposes described above.

Because the current Service does not use cross-site tracking for targeted advertising, it does not presently respond differently to browser “Do Not Track” signals or Global Privacy Control signals. If these practices change, this policy and any required consent or opt-out controls will be updated before the change takes effect.

8. How information is used

To the extent we or our service providers process technical information, it may be used to provide and secure the Service; diagnose outages and errors; prevent fraud, malicious activity, and abuse; comply with legal obligations; enforce our Terms of Use; and protect the rights, safety, and property of Compound Strategy Lab, users, and others.

9. How information is disclosed

We may disclose limited technical information to vendors that host, deliver, maintain, or secure the Service; when required by law, legal process, or a valid government request; when reasonably necessary to prevent harm or protect legal rights; or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.

Compound Strategy Lab does not currently sell personal information, share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, or disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct marketing.

10. Retention

Strategy information in local storage remains on your device until you or your browser removes it. Compound Strategy Lab does not control its retention.

Hosting and security providers may retain technical logs according to their own retention schedules and legal obligations. If you contact us outside the website, we may retain the communication as reasonably necessary to respond, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or comply with law.

11. Security

We use reasonable measures appropriate to the nature of the Service, but no website, browser storage system, or internet transmission is completely secure. You are responsible for securing your device, browser profile, and exported files. Do not use the Service to store secrets or sensitive financial credentials.

12. Your privacy choices and rights

You can control locally stored information through your browser settings and can stop future live-data requests by not using the Strategy Lab or by blocking the third-party request through your browser or network settings. Blocking storage or market-data requests may limit some features.

Depending on where you live and subject to legal exceptions, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or information about personal information that an organization holds about you; to appeal certain decisions; or to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. Because Compound Strategy Lab does not currently operate accounts or receive strategy data, we may have little or no information that can be associated with you.

To submit a privacy request, use the contact details below. We may need to verify your identity and authority before completing a request. You may use an authorized agent where applicable law permits. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

13. Children

The Service is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can evaluate and address the request.

14. United States operation and international visitors

Compound Strategy Lab is operated in the United States. If you access the Service from another country, technical information processed by service providers may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where those providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from those in your country.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Service, our practices, providers, or applicable law. The revised policy will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. If a change materially affects how we handle information, we will provide additional notice when reasonably practical and where required by law.
