Disclaimer
Compound Strategy Lab is an educational planning tool. It helps you explore assumptions and understand how different strategy designs behave in the model. It does not tell you what to do with your money.

1. General educational purpose
Compound Strategy Lab provides calculators, visualizations, examples, templates, simulations, historical replays, and explanatory material for general educational and informational purposes. The Service is not designed to produce a complete financial plan or determine whether a particular decision is suitable for you.
Using Compound Strategy Lab does not create an adviser-client, fiduciary, broker-customer, attorney-client, accountant-client, lender-borrower, or other professional relationship. Compound Strategy Lab does not take custody of assets, connect to financial accounts, execute transactions, arrange financing, or monitor your portfolio.
2. No offer, recommendation, or endorsement
Nothing on Compound Strategy Lab is an offer, solicitation, recommendation, rating, or endorsement of any security, fund, token, protocol, pool, account, loan, insurance product, property, service provider, or strategy. Names and symbols are used for identification, education, modeling, or as historical-data proxies. Their appearance does not imply affiliation, sponsorship, or approval.
3. Hypothetical results
Every projection is hypothetical and depends on the assumptions entered. Results are not guaranteed. Actual outcomes can differ substantially, including loss of income, loss of principal, liabilities exceeding assets, or complete loss of value.
Assumed-rate projections generally apply simplified rates and monthly steps. Real returns do not arrive smoothly. Interest rates, yields, prices, correlations, fees, taxes, inflation, contributions, spending, and laws change over time. The Service cannot account for every market event, personal circumstance, product term, behavioral decision, or operational failure.
4. Historical and Monte Carlo results
Historical replay illustrates one selected period using available data and stated proxies. It is not actual performance of your account and is not a forecast. Results may be affected by the chosen start and end dates, proxy selection, data availability, survivorship bias, reinvestment conventions, monthly sampling, and costs or taxes that are not included.
Monte Carlo simulations are mathematical illustrations based on modeled distributions, volatility inputs, correlations, and other assumptions. Percentiles are not guarantees or precise probabilities of real-world outcomes. Markets can experience jumps, prolonged regime changes, illiquidity, correlation spikes, and extreme events that the model does not reproduce.
Past performance, backtested performance, and simulated performance do not guarantee future results.
5. Market data and calculations
Market data may come from third parties and may be delayed, incomplete, revised, unavailable, or incorrect. ETF or other proxies may not match the asset or exposure you intend to model. Adjusted-close data can reflect distributions and splits differently from other sources. Cryptocurrency data may vary among venues.
Although Compound Strategy Lab includes automated tests and documentation, software and data can contain mistakes. You should independently verify calculations, assumptions, market information, contribution limits, rates, and product terms before using them in a decision.
6. Investment and portfolio risk
Investments can lose value. Diversification does not ensure a profit or prevent a loss. Modeled average returns can conceal volatility, drawdowns, sequence-of-returns risk, concentration, liquidity limits, inflation, credit events, and the possibility of long periods with little or negative growth.
Dividends, distributions, interest, and other yields may be reduced or eliminated. High stated yields may reflect greater credit, leverage, liquidity, return-of-capital, or business risk rather than greater economic return.
7. Digital assets and decentralized finance
Digital assets, liquidity pools, staking, lending protocols, stablecoins, and decentralized-finance activities can be highly speculative and may result in complete loss. Risks include extreme volatility, impermanent loss, smart-contract defects, exploits, oracle failure, validator penalties, slashing, depegs, governance attacks, bridge failure, protocol insolvency, liquidation, unavailable liquidity, lost credentials, fraud, market manipulation, tax uncertainty, and regulatory change.
Liquidity-pool fee APR, uptime, impermanent loss, token volatility, correlation, re-centering frequency, and transaction costs are estimates or user inputs. Actual pool performance also depends on price paths, volume, liquidity, fee tiers, execution, gas, slippage, incentives, and protocol mechanics. Re-centering a concentrated position can realize losses and incur costs; it does not eliminate risk.
8. Debt, credit, and real estate
Debt and mortgage examples simplify repayment and do not represent a loan offer, payoff quote, underwriting decision, or credit advice. Actual obligations may include variable rates, minimum-payment rules, escrow, penalties, late fees, insurance, taxes, closing costs, and contract-specific terms. Paying debt early may have tax, liquidity, or contractual consequences.
Real-estate examples may omit financing constraints, transaction costs, vacancies, repairs, capital expenditures, insurance, taxes, management costs, legal obligations, environmental risks, illiquidity, and the fact that buildings are purchased and sold in discrete transactions rather than continuously.
9. Taxes and retirement accounts
Compound Strategy Lab is not tax software. Its tax control is a simplified display adjustment and not an account-level tax calculation. It does not fully model tax brackets, basis, holding periods, realization timing, deductions, credits, wash-sale rules, required distributions, penalties, state or local taxes, estate rules, or the different treatment of wages, interest, dividends, capital gains, staking rewards, and cryptocurrency transactions.
Contribution limits and eligibility rules change and may depend on age, income, filing status, employer plan terms, family coverage, and other factors. The Strategy Lab may enforce a user-editable cap but does not determine eligibility or simulate the tax benefit of a Roth, pre-tax, HSA, 529, or other account. Confirm current rules with an authoritative source or qualified professional.
10. Inflation, fees, and implementation
The inflation control restates displayed values using a single selected rate; it does not predict actual inflation or changes in the cost of particular goods and services. If you enter inflation-adjusted returns and also enable the inflation control, you may double-count inflation.
Fees, spreads, commissions, taxes, gas, slippage, custody charges, management costs, and other expenses are included only where the model expressly applies them or you enter them. A strategy that appears attractive before costs may not remain attractive after implementation.
11. Templates and report-card results
Templates are worked examples, not recommendations. Default values are illustrative and may be unsuitable or outdated. Labels such as “safe,” “robust,” “self-sustaining,” or a passing report-card result describe behavior inside the model; they do not mean an asset is insured, risk-free, professionally approved, or suitable for you.
12. Your decisions remain yours
You are responsible for reviewing assumptions, verifying information, evaluating risk, protecting your data, and deciding whether any action is appropriate for your circumstances. Consider consulting a licensed financial professional, attorney, tax professional, accountant, insurance professional, or other qualified adviser before acting.
Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose, rely on a projection to meet an essential obligation, or treat a modeled result as a substitute for due diligence.
13. No warranty and limitation reference

We do not warrant that calculations, historical information, templates, third-party information, or the Service will be accurate, complete, current, uninterrupted, secure, or suitable for a particular purpose.
